Nigel D'Cruz

Nigel is one of the most unique and effective skills coaches in the world. He has been responsible for the development of some of the most exceptional hockey talent this country has seen, with many of his proteges going on to represent England and GB. His exceptional coaching also sees him called upon as a skills consultant for many top senior international players. Nigel is a level 2 qualified coach with over 15 years Premier League playing experience, including winning 2 National Premier titles, (with Southgate and Surbiton). He has played in the European Cup, (equivalent of the current day EHL), and has represented England at U21s, Vets and Over 50s levels, as well as playing in the World Cup GB Invitational team.

Former Premier League and South African Provincial player, Indoor and Outdoor.

Fred Notman

Federation of International Hockey Level 3 Coach and Australian Premier League Head Coach for North East Hockey Club. Alongside school, university and club coaching Fred has played for Cheltenham in the UK National League level and he has also played over 50 matches in the Australian Premier league.

Andy Stopps

Andy has been involved with hockey coaching for nearly 30 years, since becoming a level 2 coach in 1994. Specialising in goalkeeper coaching was a natural path, having played hockey as a goalkeeper since 1986. Andy still plays, representing his club, Sudbury Hockey Club, in the East leagues, while also playing Suffolk and East Masters hockey. Andy is the goalkeeper coach at the newly formed East Talent Academy, having previously coached in the Player Pathway at JRPC and Performance Centre levels. Andy also overseas the goalkeeper coaching programme with the Cambridgeshire County goalkeepers, running specialised group sessions for all the under 13 to under 17 goalkeepers. At club level, Andy runs monthly junior and senior sessions at Saffron Walden Hockey Club and helps out on Sunday mornings with the Braintree Blue Hornets under 12 girls squad.

I am an FIH Level 1 coach and currently coach in the Cambridgeshire County setup, at Stephen Perse Senior School and at my club Saffron Walden, where I also play for the first team in East Prem A. Having been a player at England Hockey Performance Centre level I also have experience of the Player Pathway system.

Sophie Hodgkinson

I am currently a Level 1 FIH Hockey Coach. I am an assistant coach at Cambridge Juniors Hockey Club, coaching all age groups as well as the U15 Girls Assistant Coach at Cambridgeshire county. I am currently playing hockey for Cambridge South HC, and have experience playing in Division 1N. As a junior I progressed through the County pathway, had experience playing in regional tournaments and won the U17 county regional tournament. At the moment I am working at St Johns College School in Cambridge as the sports gap, gaining experience in teaching before I go to university in September 2024, to study sports and exercise psychology at Loughborough.

England Hockey Academy Centre coach. Bobby has been coaching for 25 years and has successfully developed junior players at many London clubs including Wimbledon, Spencer, Old Kingstonians, Richmond and Stains, as well as within the Surrey County set up. He has also coached the Epsom Ladies and NPL Men's teams.
