Meet The Coaches


Nigel D'Cruz

Nigel is one of the most unique and effective skills coaches in the world. He has been responsible for the development of some of the most exceptional hockey talent this country has seen, with many of his proteges going on to represent England and GB. His exceptional coaching also sees him called upon as a skills consultant for many top senior international players. Nigel is a level 2 qualified coach with over 15 years Premier League playing experience, including winning 2 National Premier titles, (with Southgate and Surbiton). He has played in the European Cup, (equivalent of the current day EHL), and has represented England at U21s, Vets and Over 50s levels, as well as playing in the World Cup GB Invitational team.

Paul Visagie

England Hockey Level 2 Coach. England Hockey Junior Regional Performance Centre – Lead Coach. England Hockey Academy Centre – Lead Coach (Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire). Cambridge South HC – Men’s 1/2s – Lead Coach. Cambridge South HC – Ladies 2/3s – Lead Coach. Former Zimbabwe/Rhodesia Junior International player. Former Premier League and South African Provincial player, Indoor and Outdoor.

Morgan Males

England U18 Captain year young and own year (2017-2018) England U21 (2018) Currently Playing in English Premier League for Beeston Double Premier League Champion Indoor and Outdoor with Surbiton (2016-2018) Multiple Junior National Titles indoor and outdoor with Surbiton (2014-2018 - at least 3 indoor and at least 3 outdoor) Meant to play in Perth summer 2020 for West Wide Wolves but Covid-19 made that get postponed.

Fred Notman

Fred is a full time hockey coach and has coached at a number of schools, universities, clubs and on camps across the world. He is currently the Women’s Head Coach at The University of Leicester alongside school and club coaching and playing for Bedford at National League level.

Mollie Mason

Captained England U16 and U18 Women during various international matches and tournaments Currently studying and playing for the University of Nottingham Women’s First team as well as being part of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme

Senior training squads for England World Cup, Willesden 1986, GB Training squad for 1988 Olympics.

Bobby Abdulla

England Hockey Academy Centre coach. Bobby has been coaching for 25 years and has successfully developed junior players at many London clubs including Wimbledon, Spencer, Old Kingstonians, Richmond and Stains, as well as within the Surrey County set up. He has also coached the Epsom Ladies and NPL Men's teams.
